Product 1:
For my first product I intend to create a cover that will include a front cover that will include content that will engage the target audience of aspirational 16 - 25-year-olds. The topics of my magazine will be sports, men’s current fashion, watches, and cooking. The first front cover will include a picture of the model, Tom Gribbon, posing and starring directly into the camera wearing a Stone Island jumper. The comment on the bottom of the first edition will be intertextuality to the fast and furious films. My second front cover will be a picture of the second model, Evan Mattock. He is a young academy football player at Manchester United who has aspirations to play in the first team and eventually nationally. I will produce it on photoshop and Evan will be stood in front of a plain white background. I also intend to include articles on cooking that include easy recipes that would be ideal for the target audience.
Product 2:
For my website, I would like to carry on the theme of men’s lifestyle but include some different stories and topic areas than my magazine. These will be on mental health, so that the target audience can relate to and possibly use the help that will be given, as well as a piece on boxing and training to be the best in a sporting industry such as that. I will include close-up pictures of classic cars, carrying on from the magazine, as well as a story on an actor who has come up from a humble background but has now made it. I will include a 30 second interview of the young academy player. The homepage will include our top stories as well as an introduction to the products. My second page will be completely about Brightwell MC, Tom Gribbon's thriving car restoration business.
Digital Convention:
In order to link my 2 products together, I will use the same font on both the website and the magazine as well as a similar colour scheme that matches the theme of the magazine as a whole. My website will include links to the articles written in the magazine and use pictures from the same settings with some of the same models. Both products will include links to each other as on the magazine there will be reference to the website that the audience can go to and see more. One of the pages on my website will be about Tom Gribbon and his business, linking to the cover of the first edition. He will also be featured in pictures all over the website.
